Could a Transistor, Capacitor and three resistors be the path to using Neopixels on the Raspberry Pi?

Just spotted this over at Hackaday and am blown away.

With this tiny circuit the author was able to drive a WS2811 with just a handful of components and as he points out, because of the in built data line amplifiers after the first LED the signal is perfect.

He's still using an Arduino SPI line, but that the circuit could well be used with the SPI settings available on the Raspberry Pi. Meaning easy use of Neopixels with a Raspberry Pi!

I hope he keeps on developing the idea – people will be queuing up to use Neopixels with the Pi.
